Mohave County is one of 15 counties in Arizona. It is located in the northwestern
corner of the US state of Arizona. Its western border is with both California
and Nevada. On the north, it is bordered by Nevada and Utah. On the east, its
neighbor is Yavapai County. To the south, it shares a border with La Paz County.

The estimated population in 2004 was 179,981. This was an increase of 16.09%
from the 2000 census. The county seat is Kingman. The largest city is Lake Havasu
City.
Mohave County contains part of Grand Canyon National Park, Lake Mead National
Recreation Area, and all of the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument. The
Kaibab, Fort Mohave and Hualapai Indian Reservations also lie within the county.

Tourism remains a major portion of the county economy, but mining and the railroad
are still important. Other portions of the local economy include manufacturing,
ranching, and warehouse/distribution. Designated enterprise zones are located

Havasu City and Kingman.

13,479 square miles with 186 square miles of this number
as water. Mohave is the second largest county in the state with most of the
